Wings for Turkeys for Thanksgiving

wing-shack-thanksgiving-turkey-driveBefore we can kick up our feet, loosen our belts, and start shoveling food in our faces in celebration of Thanksgiving, Northern Colorado has a lot to do as a community. Across both Larimer and Weld Counties, the food banks serving each county need over 7,300 turkeys to ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy this wonderful holiday.

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays of the year – and to know that so many people in our community are unable to enjoy this holiday is unacceptable to us. So, we are teaming up with the Weld County Food Bank as well as the Food Bank for Larimer County to help make sure that each organization meets our goals. All 5 of our Northern Colorado locations will serve as a drop off point for anyone interested in donating a turkey to their local Food Bank. We have cleared out some extra room in our freezers and are looking to use the space to help the Food Bank’s meet their goals!

As an added incentive for those looking to donate a turkey, we are offering 5 FREE WINGS if you bring your turkey to a Wing Shack location. But that’s not all – if you bring in the turkey, we will help with the sides that make Thanksgiving so great. For every turkey donated at one of our locations, we will donate $5.00 to the local Food Bank (up to $3000.00) All donations dropped off at our Loveland and Fort Collins stores will be designated for the Food Bank of Larimer County and all donations received at our Windsor, West Greeley, and Garden City locations will be designate for the Weld County Food Bank.

The Northern Colorado community is uniquely generous and has been wonderful to our company since we opened in 2004. So let’s live up to our reputation and make sure that every single family in Northern Colorado can enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner. We are going to be a little disappointed if we don’t get to write a $1500.00 check for both the Larimer and Weld Food Banks! So whether you are dropping your turkey off with us or directly at your local food bank, together we can spread the #WingLove (or in this case #TurkeyLove)!
